Meet Obei & Roxy

Meet Obei & Roxy {UPDATE: Although separately, both Obei and Roxy found homes almost right away! Two more success stories!}

I was pleasantly surprised today when Jeff mentioned we had two cats today, instead of one. These beautiful kids were displaced by a new baby in the house, and just babies themselves, they need to find a home together.

Roxy popped right out into the new studio, eager to sniff. Obei held back for a few moments to let his sister give the all clear. Both of these sweet kittens are just precious. They are both crazy for catnip (I discovered) and are both very affectionate and gentle critters.

Obei is an orange tabby and he is thought to be about 9 months old. He is a ham for the camera, and likes to head-butt your hand in order to be pet. Another interesting quality I noticed, is Obei has lynx-like hair at the tips of his ears.

Roxy, a black short-hair is also a little model, and is thought to be 7-8 months old. She couldn't seem to pull herself away from her own reflection in the window... She's a very curious and playful girl! (And apparently musical!)

All in all we really enjoyed these two and are very hopeful that there is someone out there looking for a pair of little felines!

Meet Addy.

Meet Addy. {UPDATE: Addy was adopted this morning 3/27/06 and will finally have a forever home!}

Addy is the portrait of a sweetheart. Eager to be loved-on and lavish you with kisses, Addy will almost climb into your lap if you let her. Her Rotty features are very distinct in her face and feet, and her coat is extremely soft.

Addy is a very alert girl and loves LOVES to play ball. She is a mover and a shaker and doesn't want to stay in one place for too long, but if you start petting her (especially right above her tail) she's yours forever!

Addy has been adopted before and was returned because she needs to be an indoor dog. She gets a little anxious when she's left alone outside and she tends to dig. However it is clear that Addy has been very well loved, she is micro chipped, spayed and potty trained. This girl is a K9 College Enrollee who just simply needs a committed family to take her in and spoil her with love and attention.

Meet Spaz

Meet Spaz {UPDATE: Spaz was taken home this weekend (3/18/2006) Yay Spaz!!!}

Although he has a spastic name, I found "Spaz" to be calm and sweet. Not as shy as the other kitties I've hosted, he was eager to meet me, and didn't run and hide. Spaz is a very affectionate talkative guy and was very content wandering back and forth under the spotlight between Jeff and I to get pet.

Spaz is a 1-2 yr old who was displaced by a disapproving landlord. He is looking for a home with no dogs, but possibly children over six. Like most cats he loves catnip, fake mice, balls, string, and paper bags. I am told that Spaz is a lap kitty who loves to nap on your bed or couch, but is also fairly independent and is ok with you leaving for a few days. I am also told that Spaz loves to talk to the birds outside his windows.

Meet Pepper

Meet Pepper {UPDATE: Pepper found a home yesterday morning! 3/13/06}

The first things I noticed about little Pepper were her delicate mew and the splash of white on her chest. She's quite a dainty lady and she very carefully inspected the entire studio before consenting to some treats (which she eagerly ran to when she heard the bag crinkle!)

Pepper did not want to be in one place very long, as she hopped from desktop to the shadows behind the backdrop. She was very alert of sounds outside and she very much enjoyed petting (especially in that magic spot right above her tail!)

Pepper was brought to the Humane Society because someone was allergic to her. She is completely declawed, but still loves to bat around toys and paw through catnip.

Pepper is about 2 years old and her new home needs to be completely indoors because of her four declawed paws. She is house broken and VERY affectionate. She is also playful and eager to explore. She does well with children, but hasn't yet met a dog.
